Octanoic acid
Octanoic acid, also known as caprylic acid, is a medium chain saturated fatty acid. Octanoic acid can be used to formulate self-emulsifying drug delivery systems (SEDDS) that significantly improve the bioavailability, especially for highly metabolized drugs, compared to the drug alone.
